FEATURED PROGRAMS

Connecting your soul, nature, and God.

Discover the wonder of God in Creation. In this daylong or half-day program, you will learn to activate your soul as you interact with the beauty of nature. Bob will lead you through a series of guided meditations and meditative walks. In one activity, you will take a walk into God’s world with biblical imagery in hand. You will be encouraged to bring your camera or camera-phone as you walk through the woods of Litchfield County, Connecticut or the mountains around Hendersonville, North Carolina. At different points of your walk with God, you will be encouraged to stop and reflect. Then, you will gather with the other participants to share what stirred your soul. By the end of your experience, you will leave with a new awareness of God’s active presence in the world. You will return home excited at the new ways to experience your soul by connecting with God through nature.

Spiritual Parenting – Growing Your Child’s Spiritual Intelligence

You’ve taken the parenting leap, and now you’re arms deep in parenting. Perhaps you’ve listened to a parenting expert on television; talked things over with friends; or asked you parents for advice. However, your time is limited, and you still feel like you are putting out parenting fires. You want to feel like an empowered, confident, and purposeful parent. In this half-day program, you will be invited to reflect on the spiritual blessings of parenting. You will discover the ways to parent your child’s soul. As an individual or as a couple, using biblical imagery, you will explore spiritual values that will help you be a better parent. You will reflect on the uniqueness of your child’s soul and ways to encourage its growth. Finally, you will leave with practical tools to navigate such difficult areas as setting limits, sibling rivalry, and forgiveness.

Spirituality and Sports Seminar for Coaches

The role of the coach in American sports today has never been more essential. Some parents see sports as the golden ticket to collegiate success and thus put a great deal of expectation for coaches to deliver, even at the most fundamental level of sports. Most coaches started coaching because they loved the sport or enjoy working with young people, not to meet parent expectations. To boot, many coaches become caught up in the excitement and attention, becoming difficult people for other coaches to work with. For many coaches, the fun of it all fades away. In this three to five-hour interactive program, coaches will discover the spiritual values of sports and coaching. Coaches will reflect on the values of sports and ways athletics develop the soul. Extensive time will be given to a discussion of coaching ethics. Coaches will reflect on situations where they were at their best with their athletes, other coaches, and parents. They will leave with practical tools to develop relationships with difficult coaches, strategies for creating appropriate parent expectations, and ways to coach the athlete’s soul.
